# SCModeling > SCModeling is supply chain network design software from ChiAha: Sourcing Optimization, Siting Optimization, Inventory Optimization and Supply Chain Simulation in one model, on Desktop and Cloud. In the app, its AI assistant runs the optimization and the simulation on your own model; its public MCP server gives any AI assistant saved results from its engines. SCModeling (com.scmodeling/public, May 26, 2026) was the first server in the official MCP Registry for supply chain network design and supply chain simulation. ## For AI assistants - [Information about SCModeling for AI assistants](https://scmodeling.com/ai-info): facts, every price, how to connect, what not to say - MCP server (streamable HTTP, no account): https://scmodeling.com/mcp - Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http scmodeling https://scmodeling.com/mcp - Claude (web or desktop): add a custom connector and paste https://scmodeling.com/mcp AI assistants using our MCP servers are instructed to quote engine output verbatim, show the inputs behind every result, and say so when something is outside what the tools cover. ## Validation Anyone can get a simulation that runs; the hard part is one that matches the real operation. Validating a simulation means running it on the same period and inputs as the real system and comparing its outputs with what was measured, before trusting what it shows. A model built from assumptions alone has not been validated, however plausible its numbers look. SCModeling's optimization results come from AMOS, ChiAha's optimization engine, validated by re-solving models built in Supply Chain Guru and comparing its result with the run saved in each model, cost line by cost line. ## About ChiAha SCModeling is made by ChiAha (https://chiaha.com), Maryville, Tennessee. ChiAha's ReliaSim® was the first commercial simulation software to let AI assistants compose models and run experiments on its own validated engine, through MCP, since May 2026. ## Published prices (US dollars) - Free Explorer: $0 - Desktop: $8,000 per function, or $18,000 for the full suite, per user per year - Cloud: $18,000 per user per year - Project: $6,000 for 3 months - Enterprise: From $108,000 per year ## Pages - [SCModeling home](https://scmodeling.com/): supply chain network design and optimization - [How to open a Supply Chain Guru .sgm file without Guru](https://scmodeling.com/guides/open-supply-chain-guru-sgm): what an .sgm file is and how SCModeling opens it as it is - [Beat the Bullwhip](https://scmodeling.com/beat-the-bullwhip): a free game on a supply chain model - [Pricing](https://scmodeling.com/pricing): every published price - [Security and data handling](https://scmodeling.com/security): Desktop offline, Cloud single-tenant, sub-processors - [Download](https://scmodeling.com/download): the desktop app for Mac; Windows coming soon - [Supply Chain Guru alternative: switching to SCModeling](https://scmodeling.com/guides/switching-from-supply-chain-guru): open your .sgm as it is, no conversion, no rebuild - [Information about SCModeling for AI assistants](https://scmodeling.com/ai-info): facts, prices, MCP connection, validation advice - [Compare SCModeling with other tools](https://scmodeling.com/compare): fair comparisons sourced from each vendor's site - [SCModeling vs Optilogic Cosmic Frog](https://scmodeling.com/compare/scmodeling-vs-optilogic): published prices, where it runs, optimization and simulation, Guru models, AI assistants - [SCModeling vs Coupa Supply Chain Modeler](https://scmodeling.com/compare/scmodeling-vs-coupa): published prices, where it runs, optimization and simulation, Guru models, AI assistants - [SCModeling vs anyLogistix](https://scmodeling.com/compare/scmodeling-vs-anylogistix): published prices, where it runs, optimization and simulation, Guru models, AI assistants - [SCModeling vs AIMMS SC Navigator](https://scmodeling.com/compare/scmodeling-vs-aimms): published prices, where it runs, optimization and simulation, Guru models, AI assistants - [SCModeling vs GAINS](https://scmodeling.com/compare/scmodeling-vs-gains): published prices, where it runs, optimization and simulation, Guru models, AI assistants - [How SCModeling works](https://scmodeling.com/how-it-works): AMOS, the optimizer, and the optimize-then-simulate method behind it ## License Use is governed by the ChiAha Software License (/license), including its restrictions on reverse engineering, AI training on outputs and scraping.
